Auf Wiedersehen: Fundraising Concert
Event description
Join Issie Brown (flute) and Kevin Tamanini (piano) for a delightful lunchtime concert of Swiss-themed music for flute and piano, in support of Issie‘s overseas studies.
Issie is thrilled to be commencing her Master‘s degree in Performance in September, studying in Bern, Switzerland with Professor Adam Walker (former Principal Flute of the London Symphony Orchestra).
Without legal ability to work for the first 6 months, study in Switzerland is particularly financially challenging.
The concert will run for approximately one hour, and will include:
Frank Martin (Swiss composer) - Ballade for Flute and Piano
Arthur Honegger (Swiss composer) - Danse de la Chèvre
Leah Blankendaal (Canberra-based composer) - Improvisation for solo flute
Werner Wehrli (Swiss composer) - Suite for Flute and Piano
Pietro Morlacchi - Il Pastore Svizzero (The Swiss Shepherd)
A light lunch will be served after the concert for only $15 extra, and we would love if you can join us! For catering purposes, please select the ticketing option including lunch.
