This 3 hour workshop provides an in-depth understanding of NDIS Incident Management to ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards and NDIS (Incident Management and Reportable Incident) Rules 2018. Participants will explore best practices in incident reporting, investigation, and defensible documentation, gaining practical skills to effectively identify, report, and manage incidents within their organisations.
Through interactive discussions and case studies, attendees will learn how to identify and record incidents, improve risk management processes, and ensure compliance with NDIS regulatory obligations.
Workshop Objectives:
- Understand NDIS Incident Management – Define incidents, provider obligations, and compliance requirements.
- Understand the key aspects of an effective incident management system
- Identify and Report Reportable Incidents – Distinguish reportable vs. non-reportable incidents and follow NDIS reporting timelines.
- Conduct Effective Incident Investigations – Apply best-practice techniques to investigate an incident
- Improve Incident Reporting & Documentation – learn best practices for writing defensible incident reports to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Improve documentation and risk management strategies for compliance.
