Join Angela Jaeschke, BCA’s General Manager Operations and sector allies, on the work, progress and next steps in promoting audio description on all Australian TV networks.
While audio description has been available on broadcast TV on the ABC and SBS since mid 2020, with expansion to their on-demand platforms in the last two years, the free to air networks have failed to provide this essential service.
We will discuss important updates on audio description, government response and responsibilities, and next steps in BCA’s work, with support from members and the sector.
