ROSIE HADEN & GREG HOEPNER with LINDA PITTARD
Originally from Melbourne, Rosie and Greg arrived in Tasmania late
2020 in the covid spring to set up home under the majestic and magical
Mt Roland.
Their pathos driven, dark, bluesy folk and intense
rhythmic grooves, accompany melodic tales inspired by TV noir, poets of
old and observations on modern life.
Rosie (vocals, guitar) and Greg (bass, guitar, vocals)
are accompanied by special guest Linda Pittard on ukulele and
harmonies.
ROSE TURTLE ERTLER is a musician, composer and community arts facilitator living on pallitore country in the Meander Valley, northern lutruwita/Tasmania. She plays her all original wonky folk songs on a range of instruments but is currently focusing on baritone ukulele, banjo and piano. She is inspired by many things from string quartets to nude distorted noise artists.
Rose has performed extensively over the last 30 years, often touring solo including overseas to festivals in Europe and the New York Ukulele Festival. She has been a member of bands covering a vast assortment of genres ranging from West Papuan stringband music to performance pop-punk.
