Aussie Bird Count at Maranoa Botanic Gardens
Description
Join Dr Jacinta Humphrey for a guided bird walk through Maranoa Botanic Gardens to celebrate the annual Aussie Bird Count! Together you’ll explore the habitats available in the Gardens, learn more about the birds that live there, improve your bird identification skills, and contribute to citizen science. This event is welcome to participants of all ages and levels of birdwatching experience. Please bring binoculars if you have them.
Please bring a water bottle if you'll need one.
Where to meet: Please enter via the Parring Rd entry gate, Balwyn VIC 3103 (off Whitehorse Road). Please meet at the front administration office (approximately 100 metres down the path on the left side).

Participants need to be 18 years or older, unless accompanied by a guardian.
Please note, no dogs are allowed in the gardens.
H5 bird flu has now been confirmed in wild birds along much of Victoria’s coastline and some inland locations. There have been no detections of bird flu in Boroondara, but you see sick or dead birds or wildlife:
