Get ready for the 2025 Aussie Bird Count, Australia’s largest annual citizen science event.
Delivered in partnership with BirdLife Ballarat, join us to learn how to use the Aussie Bird Count app, get some birdwatching tips and gain bird identification skills for local species.
After the workshop, put your new skills into practice with an optional guided bird spotting walk through the North Gardens wetlands.
Make sure to dress for the weather, wear appropriate walking shoes and sun protection. Binoculars may come in handy too!
This event is part of Seniors Festival however the content is suitable for people of all ages and all are welcome.
Before attending, please install the Aussie Bird Count app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone/tablet (requires Android 5.0 and up, Apple iOS 11.0 or later). Go to the Google Play or Apple App Store to download it for free.
