Unexpectedly died at the family home in Tokoroa, NZ.

Kua hinga te tōtara o Te Waonui a Tāne
A gathering to celebrate  a life well lived will be held at the Northern Arts Hotel on 
Monday 17 February 2025 from 5pm, speeches at 5.30pm.
NORTHERN ARTS HOTEL
359 Barker St Castlemaine. 

Please dress in colourful, bright attire, as Austin would wear.  Speakers will be put outside for latecomers. 

Sparkling wine on arrival. Then drinks at bar prices.

Explanation of NZ Terms
moenga roa - Literally means eternal rest or long asleep.

Kua hinga he totara i te wao nui a Tane -  A Māori whakatauki that is used in respect and honour of a mighty member of the community who has passed from this life to the next. Translated, this ancient proverb says, “A totara has fallen in the forest of Tane.
