ASCS 46 (2025): Australasian Society for Classical Studies (ASCS) Annual Conference

The conference will take place at the Australian National University, on the unceded lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge First Nations’ struggles for Sovereignty and Country.

The is the 46th annual meeting and conference of the Australasian Society for Classical Studies (ASCS).

Starting on Sunday 2 February, there will be an afternoon of HDR activities, followed by a welcome reception for all delegates in the evening. 

The conference proper will begin at 9am on Monday 3 February and finish by 4pm on Wednesday 5 February. 

• Prof. James Ker (UPenn) and A/Prof. Caitie Barrett (Cornell) keynotes will be on Monday 3 February, followed by a reception and the conference dinner. 
• Emeritus Prof. Denis Feeney (Princeton) will give a keynote on Tuesday 4 February, followed by a reception.

Registration

Early Bird tickets will be available until 20 December 2024. Conference dinner registration closes on 20 January 2025. Standard and Student/Unwaged registrations close on 4 February 2025.

Society membership is a requirement for attendance at ASCS conferences. Please sign up or update your membership here.

Conference Dinner* (closes 20 January 2025):

• $130
• $90 (Student/Unwaged)

*The conference dinner will be held on Monday 3 February at 7pm at Verity Lane Market.
