Event description

• HYBRID IN-PERSON/ONLINE EVENT •

The Australia EU Green Hydrogen Dialogue sessions explore the potential for green hydrogen derived from renewable electricity sources both on land and offshore, its interlinkages with Australian climate objectives and the potential convergence of relevant Australian policies and standards frameworks with those of the European Union, together with good practices in the policy, technical and business domains.

At this session on Opportunities beyond Hydrogen: P2X, we are inviting experts from both Australia and the EU to consider:

  • Policy settings and incentives needed to support the decarbonisation of strategic demand sectors such as maritime, aviation and chemicals in Australia and EU
  • The price parity at which hydrogen derivatives would be viable with fossil fuel alternatives in maritime and aviation sector
  • Key safety and social license concerns using methanol and ammonia as fuels
  • Major technical barriers to deploying green hydrogen for decarbonising mineral processing such as steelmaking

If you are interested and available to participate in the Dialogue session on the 27 May 2024, 17:00-18:30 AEST / 09:00 – 10:30 CEST please register to attend TODAY.

We very much hope you can join us to inform any recommendations to address the challenges in scaling and accelerating the production and trade in hydrogen as part of global decarbonisation efforts.
