Australian Comedy Roadshow At Marnong Estate

Peacocks have been heckling at Marnong for years. Friday 30 October, someone finally heckles back.

The Australian Comedy Roadshow brings a rotating line-up of festival headliners and TV favourites to The Angliss — a pro MC, a run of genuinely killer comics, two hours of stand-up, and no two shows the same. It's the big-room experience, 35 minutes from the CBD, in one of the best rooms in Melbourne on a working farm. Which is funnier than a theatre and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

Make a night of it. Book dinner at Cucina 3064 or La Vètta from 6:00pm, then walk up to the show. No drive into town, no circling for a park, no eating your main in eleven minutes because the doors are at 7.

• Camels. You will not see the camels. It's October, it's 8pm, it's dark and they're asleep. They are however definitely here, which is more than the Comedy Store can say.

• An allocated seat. Great to get the group of friends together.

• Silence outside. If you hear heckling during the interval, that's a peacock. We've spoken to him. He's unmoved.

Comedy fans who want the real thing. Friends' nights, date nights, and the group chat that's been saying "we should do something" since March. Anyone in Melbourne's North who's been meaning to see live stand-up and hasn't fancied the drive home at midnight.

• Strictly 18+. Bring ID. Expect some low-level coarse language — nothing your nonna hasn't said about the football, but it's not a night for the kids.

• Two ticket types, one seat. Early Bird closes 11:59pm Friday 9 October or after 60 tickets, whichever comes first. Then it's Better Late Than Never at standard price.

• Seating will be allocated.

• Access: The Angliss is lift-accessible with step-free entry to the room. Reach out to us and or call reception on (03) 9216 3300 before the night if you have access requirements and we'll hold a space for you rather than making you. Reception is open 7 days, 8am–6pm.

• Dinner books separately — Cucina 3064 and La Vètta take Friday bookings from 5:00pm. Book by 6:00pm to be comfortably done before the show.

• Marnong is a licensed venue, so no outside food or drink. There's a bar. Use the bar.
