QATA workshop: Australian Curriculum version 9

The Queensland Art Teachers Association (QATA) in association with the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and Cannon Hill Anglican College are hosting an afternoon for art teachers across metro and regional areas to discuss Australian Curriculum version 9 achievement standards; with a focus on curating and presenting exhibits. This workshop will also cover P - 6 Performing and Presenting strand, so is relevant to both Primary and Secondary Visual Art teachers. 

Session Outline: 

4:00 - 4:30: Sign on, afternoon tea and networking

4:30 - 5:00  A half hour presentation in the Lecture Theatre by Jo-anne Hine and Lucy Flook to deepen knowledge and understanding in relation to students curating and presenting exhibits and/or displays of their own and/or others’ artworks and/or visual arts practice for audiences. 

5:00 - 5:30 Question and answer session opened to all attendees (in physical attendance and via zoom). 

5:30 - 6:00 A facilitated teacher discussion regarding sharing implementation ideas in relation to curation and audience and other facets of ACv.9.
