Australian Fossil & Mineral Museum School Booking Request

PLEASE NOTE: This process is to create a booking request only - Museums Bathurst staff will contact you to confirm dates and times. 

Times for tours are flexible - we can adjust bookings to suit different arrival/departure times, as well as special needs or requests. Please note any requirements in the Notes section at Checkout.

Schools can make payment at the museum on the day of the visit, or be invoiced following the visit. 

Learning at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum

From diamonds to dinosaurs, learn about the material and living worlds through this spectacular collection of fossils and minerals. Learn about gold and the use of minerals or explore the natural history of our planet with a T.rex lurking above your head.

Tours can be tailored to your specific requirements; if you would like a particular topic covered, or focus on a specific time period or geographic area, please let us know if the Notes section at Checkout and we will discuss further with you.

Recommended times: 60 minutes for a teacher-guided tour; 90 minutes for Museum-guided tour.

One carer per student with special needs will be admitted free of charge

Museum Shop
Each museum has a museum shop with quality souvenirs and memorabilia.


Parking

No bus parking is available on Howick Street; buses should park on nearby Russell Street (next to Machattie Park), and students can walk the short distance to the museum.
