Australian Made, Australian Owned Showcase
Event description
We are all becoming increasingly conscious of food miles, the money we spend going overseas to foreign companies, and the fact that foreign workers are paid to make goods owned by Australian companies. We want to show off what is made in Australia by Australian companies, so you can make an informed choice and support our own economy wherever possible.
This showcase aims to highlight products produced by local businesses, with the intention of informing attendees about the availability of locally manufactured goods. Consequently, we are giving our local artists, artisans and crafters a chance to showcase their products. In attendance there will be artists, ceramics, naturopathic and beauty products, textiles (sewn and knitted), ceramics and pottery, metal art, children’s wooden furniture, and baked goodies.
They will be offering goods for sale as well as promoting their courses and workshops. Additionally, we will have a display of everyday pantry items that you can purchase at our local supermarkets and shops, along with information on where to find them.
There will also be a monster hamper raffle filled with Australian-owned, Australian-made goods - pantry staples, homewares, and pieces donated by our exhibitors and supporters. This will be drawn in the week leading up to Christmas. It’s closer than you think!!
Morning tea will be available, and visitors are welcome to browse the exhibits and consider shopping locally for the Christmas season.
