Australian Haydn Ensemble (Dunedoo)
Event description
Music in the Regions in partnership with Dunedoo & District Development Group present Australian Haydn Ensemble.
The concert program is followed by supper which can be purchased directly on the night (cash only).
Viennese Influence is a program of beautiful string quartets by the masters of the form - Mozart, Haydn and Boccherini. The Australian Haydn Ensemble (AHE) is one of Australia’s foremost exponents of the music of the Classical era, played on period instruments to bring you as close as possible to the sound worlds that the composers knew. By turns delightful, surprising and moving, this is music to uplift and inspire.
About Australian Haydn Ensemble
The Australian Haydn Ensemble (AHE) was founded in 2012 by Artistic Director and Principal Violinist Skye McIntosh and is now in its twelfth year. It performs in a variety of sizes and combinations, ranging from quartet, quintet or septet, to chamber orchestra with special guest soloists to a full orchestra with choir. From the Sydney Opera House to Carnegie Hall, AHE has performed on some of the great stages of the world. Taking their name from composer, Joseph Haydn, AHE’s flexibility and inventiveness are inspired by his fabled originality.Â
