Australian Innovation Leaders: Entrepreneurship Education in Primary & Secondary School - Leading in Diversity
Event description
STEM programs, innovation streams, and mentor pairings have expanded rapidly across Australian education over the past several years. These act as important nodes to help make connections, give access to mentors and technical support, and build resilience in school-aged children with passion for innovation and business curiosity.
These industries will grow over time, offering alternate pathways for employment and help to build diversity in Australia's economy, but we have to start teaching young.
In this week's session we focus on diversity in youth entrepreneur education, including gender, indigenous, and regional approaches.
Hear from a great cross-section of leaders across Australia about the future of innovation and entrepreneur education.
- Josh Praolini - Mt Gambier High School
- Margaret OBrien - Young Change Agents
- Nicole Brown - Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship
- Patrick O'Reily - Sydney Catholic Schools
- Hayley McQuire - National Indigenous Youth Education Coalition
These sessions are designed for leaders in the Australian innovation community who are interested in making a difference. Bring your questions and be prepared to learn and take away practical outcomes.
With moderation by Chad Renando and Dianna Somerville.
