Shining a light on generations of Torres Strait Islander school teachers
This lecture will be given by Flinders University's Emeritus Professor of History of Education, Kay Whitehead. Kay has published more than 100 articles mostly on the lives, work and transnational travel of Australian, Canadian and British women educators from the late nineteenth to the mid-twentieth century. She is currently focusing on a history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school teachers.
