Car Driving to Bendigo by road is easy as it is situated at the junction of the Calder Highway, McIvor Highway, Midland Highway and Loddon Valley Highway, making it very accessible. Directions from Melbourne to Bendigo For visitors travelling from Melbourne, Bendigo is a comfortable 90 minutes drive along recently completed four lane divided Calder Freeway (A79). Directions from Melbourne Airport to Bendigo If driving from Melbourne's Tullamarine airport, follow the Sunbury signage on to the Calder Freeway to Bendigo. Directions from Sydney to Bendigo From Sydney take the Hume Highway (31). Shuttle Bus The Sheep Show Shuttle Bus meets trains arriving at Bendigo Train Station and stops at Bendigo Woollen Mills on the way to the Sheep Show delivering show attendees to Gate 1 - The Woolcraft Gate'. Return trips to the station (via the Bendigo Woolen Mills) are coordinated with train departures. A $2 gold coin donation paid to the driver is appreciated.
