Investing in Australia’s Mental Health
Event description
In 2020, an inquiry by the Productivity Commission found that productivity loss in Australia due to mental health costs us 10% of GDP ($200bn) annually.
Following this, the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System (RCVMHS) delivered its final report on 3 February 2021, making 65 key recommendations as a blueprint to reform and rebuild mental health services in Victoria and Australia.
Australians for Mental Health is gathering support for a campaign asking Australian state and federal Governments to adopt the recommendations of the Royal Commission and allocate 1% of GDP to transforming our mental health system.
As a key stakeholder, subject matter expert, or member of our community, we’d love you to join us to discuss the recommendations of the Royal Commission, and get your feedback into plans for this campaign.
