Authentic Relating Practitioners' Series [Online] (4 Weds eves)
Event description
AUTHENTIC RELATING (A.R.) PRACTITIONERS' SERIES
An Intermediate-level series for people with at least a little prior experience in A.R. or potentially other deep self-work. It is non-pressured and social, and participants choose their own level of participation - as at all events.
Our definition of a 'practitioner' is: "Someone who understands that actual practice with others is the best way to integrate natural new skills and understandings."
Online is not the same as meeting in person, and it's not meant to be.
However, when we first explored online events, we found to our happy surprise that it was awesome and has huge value.
Not as an 'alternative' to in-person, but as a different fantastic opportunity to engage in real practice with real people exploring Authentic Relating with more than just a casual interest. :)

ABOUT THIS COURSE:
It is mostly experiential. We drop in expert tips and perspectives, but there's a minimum of participants 'being told stuff'.
The key point is that it is a way to embody and expand fluency in Authentic Relating (A.R.) and self-expression through committed practice.
A.R. is not something people can attend a few workshops in, and then know all about it. Only lived practice allows us to form new habits and ways of doing things that then merge naturally with how we express ourselves in the world.
The course offers a variety of A.R. exercises in a frame that is fully facilitated yet also social, unpressured, collaborative, and supportive.
---------------------------
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PRACTISING A.R.?
A.R. is a fascinating realm that bears fruit with ongoing practice. There's much more to it than learning to be a better communicator and having richer and more fulfilling relationships. (Though that is all awesome of course.)
For instance, were you aware that A.R. & Developmental Psychology are intertwined? Or that the mechanistic philosophy that is our cultural standard actually massively dictates our beliefs and habits around how we interact with the world? (And that practicing A.R. can assist people finding and accepting their own uniqueness!)
A.R. provides the opportunities to really get to grips with some of the old patterns and habits and closures that we all carry. More importantly, it's an opportunity to shift and change them organically, so as to be able to accept and express more of the 'real you' in the world.
To become fluent and comfortable with Authentic Relating, the most important element is practice. Specifically sharing exercises in an environment where other people are keen to learn and grow as well, and where some of our deeper edges can be explored and acknowledged in a respectful and non-pressured environment. This is what people will experience here.
