Join us in The Book Bouquet as we hear from highly regarded Ipswich artist and now author, Deb Mostert as she brings to light the process to publication of her beautiful book A Sketchbook Practice.
Deb will be explaining how she captured this compilation of her work over the past 20 years - which pages and images from her own sketchbook made it to publication and why.
If you have ever considered the practice of sketching and maybe did not know where to start, or for more experienced artists wondering about representing your work in a different way, this is a unique opportunity to hear directly from the author about her process and what that could look like for you.

As a mid-career artist, working across three decades in drawing, painting, sculpture and public art, Deb can’t remember a time when she wasn’t trying to ‘make something ‘of the world around her. Deb’s practice has been grounded in observational drawing and she continues to come back to this language to try and share what she sees.
