Steve is a trans author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror (basically, if it’s weird he writes it). He's also a book reviewer, a SFINCS and SPFBO judge, and runs the Trans Reading Group discord. He grew up on the eldritch shores of Newfoundland, Canada, and currently lives and works in (the slightly less eldritch) Montreal. He holds advanced degrees in Russian Literature, Medieval Studies, and Religious Studies. His current academic work focuses on marginalized reclamations of monstrous figures. He has taught the History of Satan; Religion and its Monsters; and Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion. Steve is passionate about queerness, Late Antiquity, and spiders.
Kris Jamison
Kris Jamison was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, grew up just west of Kingston, and despite living in New Brunswick for much of her adult life, has limestone in her bones. Kris has been writing under another name for only slightly fewer years than she has been reading, and owns slightly fewer guitars than Thomas Smith Gorev (which she plays rather less well).
Bruce Bishop
Nova Scotian born-and-raised author Bruce W. Bishop has been writing novels since 2020 and completed the Families' Storytelling Trilogy (20th century historical Canadian fiction) which includes "Unconventional Daughters", "Uncommon Sons", and "Undeniable Relations". He has also written "Grow Up, Rory Rafferty", a coming-of-age novel set in 1979 Toronto, and "Stephanie Makes a Scene", the follow up novella. Bishop enjoys creating diverse characters who have traditionally ‘flown under the radar’ especially in historical and contemporary fiction, including LGB and BIPOC.
Matt Cahill
Matt Cahill is the author of two published novels and several published short stories and essays. His debut novel, The Society of Experience, was picked as a must-read by Harper’s Bazaar magazine and was longlisted for the Sunburst Award. His short stories have appeared online and in print in Canada and the United Kingdom. His essay, On Madness Within Imagination, was selected for The Best Canadian Essays 2017. His second novel, Radioland, was released in 2022 and was a finalist for the Foreward INDIES.
K.R. Wilson
K. R. Wilson is a Toronto-writer. His novel An Idea About my Dead Uncle won the inaugural Guernica Prize in 2018 and was published by Guernica Editions in 2019. His novel Call Me Stan: A Tragedy in Three Millennia (Guernica, 2021) was long-listed for the 2022 Leacock Medal, and its follow-up, Stan on Guard: A Two Part Invention was published by Guernica in March of 2026. His SF-noir Tendrils will be published by Palimpsest Press in 2027. His work has appeared in various literary journals and the anthologies This Will Only Take a Minute and Sticks and Stones.
