Event description

Join Nawras Jabbar for a special reading of her first picture book Nawras' 11 Year Journey.

Wednesday 15 January, 11.30am - 12.30pm at Warringah Mall Library

Nawras will share her inspiring 11 year journey from Iraq to Sydney as a refugee, taking children on the journey with her in a creative and engaging way.

Enjoy the book reading followed by a collaborative art activity.

Aimed at children aged 4 to 7 years. Parent or guardian supervision is required.

Nawras Jabbar is a refugee author and artist, who has been sharing her story telling and art activities in libraries and schools for early year and primary children. Nawras is an artist who has a mural featured on the Bondi Beach seawall. Her first picture book, Nawras' 11 Year Journey is inspired by her journey from Iraq to Sydney, as a refugee.
