Join us for an engaging evening with Dianne Yarwood as she discusses her book Margaret, Are You Leaving? Dianne will be in conversation with Five Dock Librarian Gayatri Krishnamurthy, exploring the story, themes and inspiration behind the book.

About the author

Dianne Yarwood grew up in Newcastle and worked in accounting and corporate advisory in Sydney and London, while nurturing her love of cooking and reading. At forty, after a life-threatening illness, she found the courage to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. Her debut novel, The Wakes, became an Australian bestseller.

About the book

Sydney, 2001. Maggie Reid, in her forties, has built a happy life, but news of her adopted mother’s death reveals a shocking secret about her birth mother. Her search for the truth brings heartbreak, unexpected joy, and a chance to finally find where she belongs.
