Event description

Join us for a special author talk at Braidwood Library. Into the Moonlit Village is a collaborative book of poetry and art about the Battle of Crete by Poli Tataraki Sansey and Michael Winters. This presentation will showcase poetry and linocuts working together to depict ANZAC soldiers and the local population grappling with the Nazi invasion of 1941. Listen to readings by Poli as you view Michael’s images. Learn about the personal experience of Poli’s family with the Nazi occupation of Crete. Enjoy hearing about Poli and Michael’s creative journeys leading to the production of this book.
