    Join author Jumaana Abdu as she discusses her debut novel, ‘Translations’. Hear from the author as she shares her insights into writing this story. 

    'Translations' is set amid a series of personal disasters. Aliyah and her daughter, Sakina, retreat to rural NSW to make a new life. Aliyah manages to secure a run-down property and hires a farmhand, Shep, an extremely private Palestinian man and the region’s imam.

    About The Author:

    Jumaana was a Wheeler Centre Fellow and a finalist in the 2022 Ray Koppe/ASA Young Writers Award.
