Author Talk: "Walk a War in My Shoes" Murray Ernest Hall
Event description
Join author Murray Hall for a discussion about his book Walk a War in My Shoes. This non-fiction narrative explores the remarkable story of Murray's great-uncle, 19-year-old Ernest Hall, and his experiences during World War I.
Murray Hall received a bundle of old letters after his mother died. They were written by his uncle from the trenches of WWI right up to a week before he died in Belgium at just 22 years old. In his own words, Murray became obsessed with telling Uncle Ernest’s story; Walk a War in My Shoes is the result.
Come along and hear about how this remarkable collection of letters and ephemera became a book. Murray will read selections as he tells this brutal, and very personal war story.
