Author Talk with Ruth & Don Pollock
Event description
Join Ruth & Don Pollock @ Byford Library
for an engaging Author Talk
Explore the inspiring journey of two local authors as they share the stories behind their books and the path to publication.
About the Authors:
Ruth Pollock’s debut novel, Clouds and Sunshine (Sid Harta Publishers, 2022), blends fiction with personal history and serves as a companion to her earlier work, Hard Women—a detailed account of the lives of women in 19th-century Sweden and Australia, spanning from 1870 to 2021.
Don Pollock is the author of Suggy’s Men, now in its second edition following the book's original release in 2016. Drawing from Don’s own experiences, it explores the Vietnam War and its long-lasting impact.
Together, Ruth and Don will reflect on their motivations, writing process, and the challenges and triumphs of bringing their stories to the public.
