About this event

Come along to the Museum before we open to the public.  visitors with sensory and other accessibility needs can enjoy a quieter, less crowded visit to the Museum. This is a chance to see all of our permanent galleries, and maybe discover something you've never noticed before!

What is this event?

From 8am-10am, we'll open all the galleries to visitors with tickets for the event.

Tickets are free and are only available for people with sensory needs and their accompanying family, friends or support workers.

The Café will be open for coffee, tea and light refreshments.

The Shop and Discovery Centre will be open.

Who is this event for?

While everyone is always welcome at the Museum, we acknowledge that sometimes the crowds and noise make visits harder for neurodivergent visitors. We will be altering some of the screens, lights and sounds around the Museum to make it more accessible for this event, and there will be a low-sensory area. We have worked with Autism SA to provide autism-friendly charter training for Museum staff.

How do I book?

Please book a ticket on Humanitix for each attendee, including family members, friends and support workers (there is no need to book a ticket for a child under 3). Tickets are strictly limited.
