Overview
This Training is designed for support workers/mentors who would like to develop greater knowledge and skill when supporting individuals with Autism. The training is delivered in an interactive and engaging way, ideal to not just acquiring knowledge but developing skill as well.
Your facilitators
Rob Cannella - Rob is a director at BrightSpark WA and is a committed counselor with lived experience—navigating ADHD, Autism, or other challenges—and this deeply personal understanding fuels Rob's passion for creating meaningful change. Rob brings to the training day a wealth of experience and will be teaching on the following topics:
- Understanding Autism and how it impacts on daily life
- Support strategies and how to better support individuals
Judy Beeken - Judy is the director of ANOTHEN Community Care and brings workplace coaching and mentoring to the training day. Judy is dedicated to equipping those who work in the community sector environment with essential skills and knowledge to support individuals well. The topics Judy will be teaching on include:
- Understanding Autism
- Body doubling as an effective support strategy
