Event description
Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder that affects, among other things,
the way an individual relates to his or her environment and their interaction with other people.
An estimated 1 in 70 people has Autism Spectrum Disorder; that’s almost 230,000 Australians.
The main areas of difficulty are in social communication, social interaction and restricted or repetitive behaviours and interests.
Come along to a practical and interactive training to understand more about
Autism Spectrum Disorder and get some general strategies and ideas for how to support children on the spectrum.
