Autumn Equinox Gathering

Event description

Join us as we celebrate, honor and embrace the Seasonal Shift into Autumn, the transition from light to dark.

The Autumn Equinox (also known as the Mabon in the Celtic Wheel of the Year) is when the hours of light and dark are equal. This balance happens twice a year and is recognized as a sacred time for many cultures throughout history. The days will begin to become shorter and our rhythms and energy will start to shift and become more inward. Autumn is a time to reflect on all the blessings we have harvested this year. Summer was a season of abundance and rich energy. As the Wheel of the year turns, descending into shorter and cooler days, just as nature begins to slow down and turn inwards for the cooler months a head, so do we.

We will be gathering under the Peppercorn Trees and around the fire for a beautiful afternoon full of connection, exploration, rest, craft and ritual.

We will begin in Circle to explore the meaning, significance, traditions and practices for the Autumn Equinox as well as exploring the energy of this season in relation to The Moon and our Cycles.

The afternoon will include;

- Creating and making a sacred smudging tool with an assortment of natures gifts - stones, feathers, herbs and dried fruits.
