Event description
The Great Waste Adventure: Join Our FREE School Holiday Tour!
Hop on the bus for an exciting journey through the Albury Waste Management Centre! Learn what happens to your waste after it leaves your home, and get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at one of Australia’s leading waste management facilities.
Meeting at Lavington Library, this exciting tour will take you to the Southern Valley Landfill (where the contents of your red-lidded general waste bin go), the Organics Transfer Site (to discover what happens to the contents of your green-lidded organics bin), and the SMART (Sustainable Management and Resource Training) Centre to learn about where the contents of your yellow-lidded recycling bin are processed. And that’s just the beginning—there’s so much more to learn and explore along the way!
School holiday tours fill up quickly, so secure your spot now to ensure you don’t miss out!
After the tour, enjoy a complimentary fruit morning tea with the Halve Waste team, followed by an interactive recycling session. Please bring your own reusable drink bottle.
