The Mid-Autumn Festival is deeply rooted in wet-rice civilization, embodying a spirit of gratitude toward the deities and prayers for bountiful harvests 🌾. Held annually on the full moon of the eighth lunar month 🌕, this festival is more than just an occasion for moon-gazing, lantern processions, or enjoying delicious treats; it is a cherished moment for families to reunite and gather together. That is why, in Vietnam, it is affectionately known as the "Festival of Reunion" ❤️.
Even though we are nearly 7,000km away from home ✈️, we wish to create a meaningful and heartwarming celebration for both Vietnamese international students and friends from around the world. Through the Lantern Night event, AUVS hopes to give Vietnamese students a sense of being at home through familiar flavours, while also proudly sharing the beauty of traditional culture with international friends.

Tickets are required to participate in the games and enjoy the food. Your ticket gives you access to the activities and inclusions associated with your selected pack.
It also helps AUVS prepare the right amount of materials, food and activity spaces for everyone attending.
- Do I need a ticket to attend Lantern Night?
✨ Entry is FREE and open to the public! Come along, explore the event, enjoy the atmosphere and watch the performances. Tickets are required to participate in the games and enjoy the food. We highly recommend getting a ticket to make the most of your Lantern Night experience! 🏮
- What is included in my ticket?
It depends on which ticket pack you choose.
- What is the difference between Early Bird, Walk-in and Full Pack?
Early Bird ($5):
A budget-friendly option with selected activities and inclusions.Walk-in ($7):
Similar inclusions to Early Bird, but available at the higher walk-in price.Full Pack ($10–$12):
The best option if you want to experience all 5 games, both DIY activities and both food items.👉 If you want to experience as much as possible, we recommend the Full Pack!
- What happens if I don't want the Full Pack?
That's totally fine! 💛 You can choose the Early Bird or Walk-in ticket and enjoy the activities included in your pack.

Please bring your Humanitix ticket/confirmation to the event for check-in. Your ticket will be used to collect your game-play ticket when you arrive. 🎟️🎮
- Can children attend?
Yes, the event is designed to be a fun and welcoming cultural experience for everyone. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- What time should I arrive?
The event starts at 2:00 PM, and you're welcome to arrive anytime from then onwards. 🏮
We recommend arriving early so you have plenty of time to check in, enjoy the games, DIY activities and food, and catch our performance shows throughout the event! 🎭✨
