Ascot Vale Writing Group: Casual Monthly Meet-Ups

Looking for a relaxed space to fuel your writing passion? Join us for our neighbourhood writing group, meeting monthly or fortnightly from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Dwell, St Leonards St, Ascot Vale. This isn’t a professional class—there’s no instructor—just a warm group of locals gathering to write and share inspiration.

What to Expect:

• Focus on Writing: For the first couple of months, we’ll dedicate our sessions solely to writing, using prompts for a creative kickstart. As the group settles in, we’ll open up the floor for those interested in sharing their work and exchanging feedback (entirely optional!).
• Support & Accountability: This group is all about helping each other stay motivated with regular writing. It’s a casual space where writers of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned scribblers, are welcome.
• What to Bring: Just your notebook or laptop, and a willingness to write. For our first session, we’ll chat a bit about the group’s setup and plans, and then dive into some writing time.

Bring some snacks and drinks to share (optional), bring your ideas, and get ready to put pen to paper (or fingers to keys). We can’t wait to see you there!
