Avachat Ride - Wyaralong Dam - Goan Hills Trail

Venue:  Gaon Hill

Date: Tuesday, 13th May 2025

Time: Sign On - 9:00am - Ride Out - 9:30am

Duration:  3/4 hours

Food:  Bring your own morning tea & Lunch.  

Bring Own: Halter and Lead Rope

Terrain:  A moderate half day ride with a fair bit of shade, rocky in parts so suggest shoes / boots or seasoned.   There is a couple of timber step overs. 

BYO saddlebag for morning tea on the trail.Bring own human drinking water. Lunch back at the floats.  Horse drinking water at start/end of the ride.

Float Parking: Lilly brook Recreation Area Western Head Entrance

Ribbons: Green- New, nervous or unsure horses /   Red - Kickers, or may kick

ATHRA: - recommends the following.

-  Riders under 18 must wear an approved helmet

-  It is recommended that riders wear full length trousers and sleeved shirts.  Suitable smooth soled riding footwear

-  Saddlebag for food / water

-  No dogs on ride
