Entry instructions
Entry to AVCon 2026 is through the Duncan Gallery doors facing Rose Terrace, in the Jubilee and Goyder Plaza area beside the Ferris wheel at Kidman Gate. If you are arriving from Rose Terrace, head toward Kidman Gate and follow AVCon signage to the Duncan Gallery doors. Duncan Gallery connects directly to the Jubilee and Goyder Pavilions and is the main entry point for the event. At the entry, there will be a ticket check point where you will need to show your ticket QR code before entering. You can show this on your phone or bring a printed copy. After your ticket is checked, you will receive a lanyard and badge for your ticket type, which you will use for entry into the event. If you are arriving by taxi or rideshare, the Rose Terrace side of the Showground is the closest drop-off point for this entry location. If you are parking on site, parking accessed via Rose Terrace will place you closest to the Duncan Gallery entry area. If you need help at the entry, AVCon staff will be available to assist you. AVCon staff wear blue and red T-shirts so they are easy to identify.
After entry instructions
After passing through the ticketing desk, you will enter through Duncan Gallery. Just past the entry, you will see a large World Map showing the floorplan for the event and helping you find different areas across AVCon. Event maps and schedules will also be made available ahead of the weekend so you can plan your visit in advance. During the event, maps and schedules will continue to be available to help you navigate the venue and find activities, stages, and featured areas. If you need help once inside the event, AVCon staff will be available to assist with directions. AVCon staff wear blue and red T-shirts so they are easy to identify.
Hazards
AVCon 2026 is a large indoor event and some attendees with disabilities may encounter access challenges during the weekend. These may include crowded walkways and queues, noise from stages, performances, arcade and gaming areas, bright or flashing lights in some areas, and periods of sensory overload due to the size and activity level of the event. The venue is large and moving between areas may require extended walking or wheeling. Some areas may also become busy at peak times, which can affect ease of movement. Any cables used for freeplay areas, music equipment, or event operations will be taped down and secured where possible. Even so, there may still be trip hazards such as chairs, displays, bags, or personal belongings in busy event spaces. Some activities and attractions may involve standing for periods of time, waiting in lines, or navigating around exhibitor setups, furniture, and crowds. If you need help during the event, AVCon staff wearing blue and red T-shirts will be available to assist.
Toilet location
Toilets will be available within Jubilee Pavilion, Duncan Gallery, and Goyder Pavilion. Accessible unisex toilets will also be available within the event footprint. You will be able to use the event map and venue signage to find the nearest toilets. Maps and schedules will be available before the weekend and throughout the event to help you navigate the venue. AVCon supports you using the toilets that best match your gender. If anyone harasses you or makes you feel unsafe about using a bathroom, please let AVCon staff know. AVCon staff wear blue and red T-shirts and will be available to assist.
Accessible parking
Accessible parking bays are available at the Adelaide Showground. Parking can be accessed from Rose Terrace and Leader Street, and the venue has ramps, lifts, and wheelchair-friendly facilities. Because AVCon 2026 entry is through Duncan Gallery facing Rose Terrace, parking via Rose Terrace is likely to be the closest option for this entry point.
