AWIS2026

Every three years, AWIS holds a conference which includes presentations and workshops to help enhance personal and professional development for New Zealand women working in the sciences.

AWIS is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, with AWIS2026 being the 12th AWIS conference since it was formed.

We recognise that AWIS2026 is falling at a time of much uncertainty in the science system. To maximise the opportunity for women in STEM, AWIS is holding a multi-centre conference across New Zealand, combining online and in-person sessions. We feel this provides attendees with access to development opportunities and networking while reducing costs involved in conference attendance.
