Description

For Ayurveda Practitioners and Students

Across Australia, many practitioners and students walk this path feeling isolated, unsure how to grow their practice, or disconnected from others walking the same dharmic path.

Wanting connection, collaboration, and support, but not knowing where to find it.

This Sangha is here to change that.

Our intention is to cultivate a living network of Ayurveda practitioners and students particularly in Northern Rivers NSW and South East Queensland.

This is about restoring Sangha.

No networking, no pitching, no hierarchy.

But a living field where the prāṇa of Ayurveda can circulate between practitioners and students, strengthening confidence, clarity, collaboration, and purpose.

Rooted in the shared Ayurvedic sankalpa:

swasthasya svāsthyarakṣaṇam, āturasya vikāra praśamanam

"To protect the health of the healthy and relieve the suffering of the sick."

When practitioners are supported, Ayurveda flourishes.

What Becomes Possible

You leave these sanghas feeling:

  • Less isolated in your work

  • More connected to fellow practitioners and students

  • Clearer about how your work fits into a wider ecosystem of Vedic healing and wisdom

  • Energised by shared purpose rather than comparison or competition

The Evening

A warm, grounded gathering including:

  • Chai and sweets

  • A keynote speaker: Sarada Martin

  • A gently facilitated, workshop-style collaboration process

  • Time to connect, reflect, socialise & have fun

Why This Matters

Across Australia, there is deep Ayurvedic knowledge.
What’s been missing is consistent Sangha.

This gathering is the beginning of something ongoing.
A space that will continue regularly, grow organically, and be shaped by the people who show up.

A Special Opening for This Sangha

This gathering falls on Vijayadashami विजयादशमी, also known as Dussehra दशहरा: the day of victory. It is the tenth day, following the nine nights of Navaratri नवरात्रि honouring the Mother Divine.

To honour this, our host Christina will open the evening with a short puja to the Mother Divine.

Theme for October:

Collaboration for Collective Success

Sarada Martin shares how Ayurveda practitioners can collaborate and work with Ayurveda businesses, so that greater success circulates for everyone in our community.

She will also give an important update on the current legalities around some of our common Ayurvedic herbs here in Australia.

This is one certainly worth attending.

About Sarada Martin

Sarada (otherwise known as Sal Martin, also known as The Tea Lady) is a qualified yoga teacher, naturopath, and Western Medical Herbalist who has spent more than 25 years working in wellness.

For the past 16 years, she has had the privilege of championing Tulsi, Queen of Herbs, across Australia and New Zealand. Drawing on her business degree and a deep belief in herbal education, she has helped grow the Organic India presence Down Under, sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda with Aussie and Kiwi consumers, health practitioners and retailers alike. Through education, brand leadership, countless conversations and even more cups of Tulsi tea, her work has built a wider awareness of Tulsi Holy Basil, and deepened her own enduring wonder for this remarkable herb and the many timeless principles of Ayurvedic living that surround it.

Holding a vision to ensure Ayurveda remains accessible without diluting its authenticity, Sarada enjoys translating ancient wisdom into practical, everyday rituals and understandings that support both personal and planetary wellbeing. She believes some of the most profound teachings are found in the simplest daily practices, such as breathing deliberately, sharing a cup of tea, connecting with nature, and cultivating present moment awareness in ordinary moments.

Sarada lives in the Northern Rivers of NSW, where her love of Ayurveda continues to be woven into daily life through tea, gardening, yoga, caring for her family and an enduring affection for the wisdom of nature.
