B-Fit Walk in Michael Perry Reserve
Description
Join us for a guided walk through one of Burnside's beautiful natural areas. Explore the scenic Michael Perry Botanic Reserve with our experienced walking guide and one of the City of Burnside's nature experts, who will share fascinating insights into the reserve's unique trees, plants, and natural environment.
Named after Michael Perry - Councillor, Alderman and Mayor from 1958 to 1983 - this reserve is part of the former Clifton Estate established in the 1850s by George Sismey, who was an early investor in the mine and quarry industries of South Australia.
After the walk, those who wish are invited to join us at a nearby café to continue the conversation over a coffee (purchases at your own expense).
Meet in Michael Perry Reserve at the end of Kurrajong Ave. There is very limited parking on Kurrajong Ave. Parking is available on Hallett Road, with the park a short walk along 'Andrews Walk'. The entrance to Andrews Walk is opposite High Street on Hallett Road.
