barre3 Mental Health Fundraiser Class
Event description
Join barre3 Bethesda and MelBeyondYoga for a restorative b3 Mindful Flow class, followed by a grounding active sound healing experience. 100% of the class proceeds will benefit The Trevor Project, and their critical suicide prevention and crisis services.
About b3 Mindful Flow:
Dynamic and breath-driven, this 45 minute practice improves mobility and increases stability, while promoting active recovery and fostering harmony in the body.
Sound Bowl Healing Experience:
Directly following b3 Mindful Flow, MelBeyondYoga will lead a 30-minute sound session featuring crystal alchemy singing bowls and other instruments to promote relaxation of the body and mind. Participants will be invited to explore their breath and participate in other techniques that facilitate the regulation of their nervous system.
After Class:
Each participant will receive a gift bag containing 1 complimentary class voucher with barre3 Bethesda and special items from local wellness partners: London Wick, Skincando, SWTHZ, and Washington Center for Women's and Children's Wellness.
What to bring:Participants should bring a blanket and any other props that will facilitate their relaxation (bolster, eye mask, etc.). 10 minutes early arrival is required.
About Mel:
Mel is certified in crystal alchemy sound healing, and is a Level 2 Reiki practitioner. She specializes in crystal alchemy, crystal singing bowls, and loves sharing the benefits of sound healing with others. She is delighted to play her bowls for the barre3 community in Bethesda.
