FAQs
- Where is this event?
Performances will be held in the Judith Cottier Theatre at Perth College, 31 Lawley Crescent, Mt Lawley.
- Where can I park?
Please allow enough time to find parking.
Limited parking is available on the Perth College sports ground, which is located west of Beaufort Street. There is a pedestrian underpass to get the audience safely underneath Beaufort Street. Please exit the sports ground carpark promptly after the performance as gates will be closed shortly after. In the event of heavy rain, the sports ground parking will not be available, however, you will be notified if this is to happen.
There is street parking on Lawley Crescent, Queens Crescent and Regent Street, on the streets surrounding the Judith Cottier Theatre at Perth College. For those using Google Maps or GPS, the exact location of the Theatre is just up from 31 Lawley Crescent Mt Lawley. You may also find it easy to park in Mt Lawley shopping precinct (anywhere east of the Beaufort Street/Walcott Street intersection - up Beaufort if you are coming from the city direction) and take the 5-minute walk up to the Theatre.
If you prefer active transport, Transperth Bus Routes: 67, 68, and 950 have stops on Beaufort Street near the College. More information can be found via Journey Planner.
There is the ability to be dropped off near the theatre entrance on Lawley Crescent. For those with ACROD requirements or mobility issues, please contact the WAYO office on (08) 9328 9859 prior to the event so we can make the necessary arrangements.
- Venue accessibility
The Judith Cottier Theatre has wheelchair access on both sides of the venue for patrons to access the main theatre, with venue staff assistance, as well as a viewing area for wheelchair/s inside. WAYO acknowledges companion card holders.
Please contact the WAYO office on (08) 9328 9859 or via email us prior to the event so we can make the necessary arrangements.
- How many tickets do I need to buy? Does my baby need a ticket?
Tickets are sold at a $16 per seat price for adults and children.
The Babies Proms concerts are catered towards children aged 2 - 6 and their families, but we often get babies and older brothers and sisters join in the fun. Our policy is that children under 2 are free provided they sit on your lap for the duration of the show.
You will be asked during the booking process 'How many under 2s are in your group that do not require a seat?' Please enter the number here, and note it will appear on your booking but you will not be allocated a ticket for child the under 2. If you'd like a seat for your infant, simply purchase an Adult / Child seat.
As shows usually sell out there will not be any spare seats available for infants that have not purchased a seat ticket.
- Will tickets also be available for sale at the door?
Tickets will be available for sale at the door unless sold out prior. We find that our Babies Proms concerts are extremely popular and will sell out, so it is usually unlikely that there are still tickets left on concert day. However, the sessions available will be updated to reflect ticket availability.
- What does unreserved seating mean?
You are not allocated a specific seat number when you purchase your ticket. On the concert day, once doors open (approx. 15 minutes before the concert starts) you can sit in any seats you like. The Judith Cottier Theatre at Perth College offers a fantastic view of the orchestra from all seats due to its design and raked seating.
- Are there any additional or processing fees?
No! Tickets are simply $16 per seat, and we'll cover the booking fees!
- How do I get my tickets?
You will receive your digital tickets and PDF tax invoice/receipt in an order confirmation email sent to the email address entered during your purchase. You should typically receive this email within a few minutes.
Click the view tickets button on your order confirmation email to view your digital tickets. These are not attached separately. You can choose to also save your digital tickets to your Apple, Google, or Samsung Wallet.
WA Youth Orchestras has a record of all bookings and tickets, so do not stress if you cannot find them. We can assist where required.
- Can I refund or exchange my tickets?
Tickets are only refundable if the event is cancelled. Ticket exchanges will be issued at the discretion of WAYO staff, only in the most extreme of circumstances and only in the event there are tickets remaining for that season and exchanged tickets can be resold.
Tickets cannot be exchanged for any other WAYO concerts or a future WAYO children’s concert season.
We are unable to exchange tickets from a show that has sold out.
