Baby and You Course January 2027

Our Baby and You course is the ideal time to ask questions and deal with issues as they arrive whilst helping you to understand and cope with your role as a new parent. Baby and You is for parents of 0 – 8 week old babies and is held over six weekday sessions which you attend with your baby.

This is a very popular course and is presented by qualified professionals who run each session as a relaxed discussion group. Because all babies are unique with varying needs and personalities, this format gives you the opportunity to discuss your particular situation and challenges and receive tips, advice and potential strategies.

Topics covered include: caring for a newborn including feeding, sleeping and soothing; first aid and CPR for babies and toddlers; life changes and looking after yourself; development and play including stimulation for baby, age appropriate toys and key milestones of baby’s growth and development; physical recover from childbirth and safe return to exercise, baby massage.

The January 2027 Baby & You course runs 13th January to 17th February 2027 (Six sessions for parents of babies due around November/December 2026), at the Rawene Centre. All sessions run 10am to around 12pm.

Session Dates:

• Wednesday 13th January – Eat, Sleep, Soothe

• Wednesday 20th January – Infant First Aid

• Wednesday 27th January – All About You

• Wednesday 3rd February –  Mum Movement (10am – 11.30am)

• Wednesday 10th February – Physical Development & Play

• Wednesday 17th February – Baby Massage

Cost:
The Baby & You course is included as part of our New Parents Package. However, subject to availability, parents who didn’t do a childbirth education course at Onewa Parents Centre are more than welcome to do this course. The cost is $165 per person/couple. Partners and support people are also welcome to attend (max 2 people/ticket).
