Event description
Baby + Child First Aid Tas provide information sessions covering baby and child CPR and first aid, home safety, accident prevention and the management of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
Our sessions are intended for parents, families and members of the community who live with, or around children, and includes many topics that aren’t covered in most first aid courses, but which are a cause for concern for most parents and families.
Topics covered include:
- CPR
- Choking
- Burns
- Fever management
- Diarrhoea, Vomiting & Dehydration
- Respiratory Illness
- Head Injury
Baby + Child First Aid Tas sessions are brought to you by qualified health professionals who are trained to provide information to parents and families in accordance with current recommendations and guidelines from reliable sources including the Australian Resuscitation Council, Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, the Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy, Asthma Australia, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Red Nose to name a few.
