Travel instructions

Parking: There is free, 3-hour parking beside the school in Thomas Street (enter from High Street) and behind the school in St John Street (enter from Chapel Street). Please note- in a class of 3.5 hours duration, you will need to move your car at some stage if you park in the 3-hour spots. On a Saturday and Sunday, there are some parking spots on the south side of High Street, Prahran that are unlimited in terms of time. You can usually get a parking spot between the school and Prahran railway station. Be aware that directly out the front of the school is 1 hour parking only. There is also a car park at Prahran Square, located at 30-40 Izett Street, Prahran. This is a paid car park. It is 400m from the school. Public Transport: The number 6 tram (Glen Iris) stops at Prahran Railway station (stop 30) or the Corner of High Street and Chapel St (stop 31). Prahran Railway Station (Sandringham line) is 350m away from the school.

Entry instructions

Venue: The Library Ground Floor, Prahran High School 138 High Street Windsor Please wait at the front door of the school on High Street, which will be locked. We can see you and will come out and get you.

After entry instructions

What to bring to the class: * You do not need to bring anything with you. * Resource folders and paper to write your own notes will be provided. * Bottled water and light refreshments will be available. * Please feel free to bring your own snacks. There is an excellent café (Tone) opposite the school if you wish to get a coffee/snack before the class starts on a weekend. Just be aware there can be a queue, so allow plenty of time.

Hazards

The Prahran High School is wheelchair accessible- there are no ramps or stairs to enter the school or to access the teaching space (the Library).

Toilet location

There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor of the school, close to the teaching space (the Library).

Accessible parking

There are a number of disabled parking spots beside the school in Thomas Street and behind the school in St John Street.

Staying well

If you have any signs of a respiratory illness (fever, cough, funny nose, gastro-intestinal symptoms), please do not attend the class. A refund or transfer to another date is permitted (with proof of COVID-19, RSV or Influenza (“Flu”) infection). Please text A/Professor Rosemarie Boland on 0413 940 294 if you are unwell and no longer able to attend.

Cancellation policy

Please advise us as soon as possible if you are no longer able attend. As per our booking policy, cancellations <24 hours prior to this class (other than for hospital admission or COVID-19/RSV/Flu infection/isolation requirements, with evidence) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
