Description
This workshop is designed for parents, carers, and families who want the confidence to respond in an emergency involving babies and young children.
In a relaxed, supportive environment, you’ll learn practical, life-saving skills to manage common childhood injuries and emergencies, including choking, breathing difficulties, and CPR.
This is a non-accredited course, focused on real-life scenarios, hands-on learning, and building confidence, without the pressure of formal assessments.
In this workshop, you will learn to:
Recognise and respond to an emergency involving infants and children
Perform CPR on babies and children
Manage choking incidents (including use of back blows and chest thrusts)
Identify and respond to breathing difficulties
Manage common childhood injuries (burns, falls, bleeding, allergic reactions)
Understand when and how to call emergency services
Build confidence to stay calm and take action in an emergency
