Bach in Dunedin - a recital
Description
Join 2023 Dunedin Concerto Competition winner Boudewijn Keenan as he returns to Dunedin from the Australian National Academy of Music in Melbourne to perform a special recital in the beautiful Marama Hall.
The program will open with Bach's majestic Cello Suite No.4 in E flat major, before moving to the less well known but no less exciting Solo Sonata for Cello by Paul Hindemith. Boudewijn will then be joined on stage by Portia Bell, Heleen du Plessis and Tom McGrath for two chamber music pieces: Barriere's Sonata for two cellos in G major, and the moving Requiem Op.66 for three cellos and piano by David Popper.
Boudewijn is thrilled to be performing again in Dunedin, and would love to see you there! All proceeds from the recital will contribute to his plans for future studies overseas after he completes his training at ANAM.
