WoTL presents, Back to Basics – best practice farm animal husbandry, with Alice Morley of FP Ag, and Co-Presenters, Megan Miller of Briar Rose Farm and Susan Haese of Yaringa Alpacas.

This informative workshop will cover best practice animal husbandry for goats, alpacas, and sheep. With content specifically designed for women on small acreage or those who are new to livestock management, topics will include:

  • Animal handling
  • Animal nutrition
  • Vaccination programs
  • Worm management
  • External parasites
  • Farm biosecurity

The day will also include a number of engaging demonstrations and provide an opportunity to ask questions, and also includes morning tea, lunch and take home notes.

The full cost of this workshop is $200. The fee has been heavily subsidised thanks to the generous support from WOTL and the event sponsors.

This workshop is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
