Back To Basics - A Head Gap Recording Studio Fundraiser

For over 18 years, Head Gap Recording Studios has been a cornerstone of Melbourne’s thriving music community. In December 2024, the studio was devastated by a fire, leaving its physical space destroyed. In response to an overwhelming outpouring of community support, Head Gap is pleased to announce a series of fundraising events across ANZAC weekend, with all proceeds going toward the studio’s future home.

Back to Basics 

Friday 25th April (ANZAC Day) at Ravens Yard & Warehouse, Thornbury

The devastating news of Head Gap's fire rocked us. As two small, iconic, independent businesses in Thornbury's industrial zone —just 280 meters apart — we've shared 40 years of history between us that has helped shape Melbourne's eclectic spirit in some shape or form. In honour of our mates and community, we are thrilled to be hosting this fundraiser at Ravens Yard, our new live music warehouse venue (even closer to their old studio) and would love you to join us to celebrate Melbourne's vibrant music scene and help Head Gap raise money to rebuild. 

A handful of Head Gap’s fraternity are getting together to play a back-to-back, back to basics high energy show, across the road from Head Gap’s former home. There's a full bar setup by 3 Ravens, food by The Real Jerk Food Truck and band merch available on the night too.  All funds raised to go toward Head Gap’s future home.
