Background Music - Brendan Foster Quartet

Playing under the name “Background Music”, Brendan, Connor, and Chris have been performing together for over a year now. They’ve established themselves by honing their sound over many nights, performing and improvising to the compositions of Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, and John Coltrane. For this performance, they invite the sharp, meticulous, and deeply versed pianist, Joe Machen, to the bandstand. The group continue on the theme of Ellington, Coltrane, and Monk, while this time also paying homage to the late Vibraphonist, Bobby Hutcherson.
