Backyard Honey Beekeeping Workshop

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Join us in the RAW Community Garden (where we have our own Backyard Honey beehive!) to learn all about the wonderful world of bees in the lead up to World Bee Day on 20 May.

The experts from Backyard Honey will be there with their live perspex display hive, containing over 7,000 bees, providing a safe opportunity for people of all ages to explore life in a honeybee colony. You can watch and learn about live bees at work, see the Queen Bee, taste raw honeys from all over Melbourne and Victoria, hear the buzz, handle apiary tools and talk to the beekeepers about the importance of bees and what we can do to support them.

Also included are refreshments and delicious honey for sale at wholesale rates.

This is an all ages all weather event, and children are most welcome.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This workshop is proudly supported by the Bayside Council as part of our conversation+compassion=community event program
